Patmos island: Towns and Villages: kambos

The village of Kambos is located approximately six kilometres from Skala. Kambos is divided into the upper Kambos (Ano) and the lower Kambos (Kato) which is more popularly known as Kambos beach.

In the upper Kambos, or Ano, tourists will find the school, the village square, the church of the Annunciation (Evangelismos) and small taverns serving local cuisines.

Lower Kambos, or Kambos beach is the biggest and most popular beach in the island, which is just five and a half kilometres away from Skala. It is fully equipped with sun beds, parasols, taverns and restaurants. Greeks and foreigners alike find Kambos beach a favoured destination as its sun beds and trees offer the most comforting beach experience. Water sports may be played in the beach from time to time as well.
