Like
its mother Island, Grikos used to be a picturesque village
for fisher folk. Today, however, it has grown to great
heights and can pass in comparison with its neighbouring
villages in Patmos Island.
Grikos village is built on a bay that has a splendid view of the Kalikatsou rock (in Petra beach – small crows). Kalikatsou rock was once believed to be a site of hermitage during the time of Holy Christodoulos.
Grikos is located just 5 kilometers away from the village of Skala. In Grikos, tourists get the best of both worlds – that is, from the organized beaches with umbrellas and sun beds to the more tranquil and quiet beaches, with just Tamarisk trees for shading. The taverns and restaurants in Grikos offer good food and the beaches cater to wonderful water sports
